The most complex products are just enough

Boeing

Boeing successfully created a process to review and approve all factory tooling designs before they are released for use in production to ensure that the tools are safe and functional. The team also created training modules to teach the fundamentals of ergonomics to airplane designers, production system personnel and shop floor mechanics.

Airbus

Airbus is using Virtual Reality in particular to engineering and ergonomics  investigations. This includes the review of the maintainability of the product as part of product development process.

IndustrieHansa

"Virtual reality allows to document, to describe, explain and make things visble allong the product development process. A significant acceleration of the provision of product literature - whether in print or electronic form - is also the consequence as well as a sustainable quality improvement."
