fleXilution GmbH has been established in 2004 as a start-up coached by the NUK business network in Cologne, Germany. 

Since 2006 fleXilution GmbH is the winner of the IST prize. The European Information Society Technologies Prize is the most distinguished prize for innovative products and services in the field of Information Society Technologies.

In summer 2006 fleXilution GmbH joined the ICIDO Group. 

fleXilution’s product portfolio consists of deformation systems for realtime simulation of flexible materials. These systems are based on an own developed numerical solver which ensures absolutely high physical precision at realtime computation speed. IDO:Flexible is based on the base technology of flexilution and now a module of the Visual Decision Platform.

These numerical simulation systems can be integrated in all kinds of existing CAD, CAM, CAE, DMU and VR software on all available plattforms and even commodity hardware. 

The simulation system of fleXilution provides:

• realtime deformation of flexible materials such as wiring harnesses, wire  

        bundle and hoses

• modelling and simulation of flexible components of any kind, shapes and

        materials (also composite materials)

• interactive manipulation of flexible components in realtime e.g. introduction 

        of fixating clips on tubes etc.

• the influence of gravity and externally applied forces

• the calculation of all inner forces inside the flexible component

fleXilution GmbH founders, Dr. Martin Göbel and Dr. Gernot Goebbels, have more than 15 years experience in VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) especially for automotive and medical industries.
