Virtual Engineering Consultant (m/f)
ICIDO is the leading vendor of enterprise class immersive Virtual Reality solutions for manufacturing or-ganizations worldwide. We have built a marquee customer base in Europe and the US which relies on ICIDO‘s standard applications in the areas of Virtual Engineering, Virtual Build and Virtual Showroom. We develop and market complete system of powerful visualization and evaluation software solutions and are expanding our consulting business to cover activities with leading companies from the automotive, aerospace industry, machine builders as well as prominent research facilities. ICIDO solutions range from efficient desktop systems to high-end applications for the operation of immersive Powerwall and CAVE projection systems. Our customers being: Airbus, Audi, BMW, Boeing, CAT, Daimler, FORD, etc.
Responsibilities
Our consultants participate in all phases of implementation projects
- Analyzes requirements and contributes to the design of ICIDO solutions within complex customer environments
- Supports production of written specifications to capture business process requirements for ICIDO solutions
- Installs and configures and customizes ICIDO software
- Assists with research on implementation projects Demonstrates technical/customization skills
- Documents tasks and results as assigned
- Supports case study development and provides lessons learned feedback
- Develops multi-level relationships with customers and participates in cross-functional design teams to understand the current business process design and the technical framework the project is embedded in, identify problems, complexities other technical design factors
- Contributes to the organizations intellectual property and assets through documentation of lead-ing practices, example work products, methods development and sales collateral
- Promotes the corporate mission, vision and values in order to maintain quality, professionalism and team spirit among all stakeholders
Work experience
Technically experienced newcomers are welcome as well as experienced consultants in the CAD/CAE and PDM/PLM or Virtual Reality area, Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of CAD systems (e.g. Pro/E, CATIA, NX …)
- Excellent knowledge of 3D data formats (VRML, STEP, JT, CGR …)
- Ideally excellent knowledge of 3D graphics systems, e.g. OpenGL
- Excellent knowledge of Windows XP, networks
- Project Management experience E
- xperience of Product Design and / or Manufacturing Engineering (Automotive /Aerospace)
Educational experience
- A bachelor or master degree, preferably in mechanical engineering or related sciences
- Capability for analytical and abstract thinking
- Methodological competence
- Willingness to take on responsibility and work toward objectives within a team
- Strong focus on helping our customers using our technology
- Willingness to travel both domestic and international
- Good communication attitude is a must
Locations and Travel:
USA, mainly Detroit area, Mid West and Seattle.
Extensive travel will be required.
